How much will the Samsung Galaxy S7 cost?

Samsung is set to announce its new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S7, soon. The release is supposed to follow soon after and hopefully the phone will be in stores by the end of March 2016. For now, the news on the phone, the specifications, the pricing and the functions are rumors and speculation.

There have been leaks towards the end of 2015 and in 2016 about the phone’s expected specifications and a couple of new features that are meant to wow the users. With the new revolutionary features and the fact that this is about to be the ‘in thing’, the price is a factor that many people are wondering about. The nagging question on people’s minds is how much one will have to part with in order to enjoy this new awesome phone.

Expected Cost

Different prices are expected for different markets. This is the same as other phones and devices. The main areas of interest are usually the USA, UK, India and Europe. These are representative of the possible prices expected in almost every part of the world. However, shipping and other factors usually play a big role in other parts such as Africa where the prices tend to be higher.

In the USA, the price of the Galaxy S7 is expected to be around $700. In the same area it is rumored that the Galaxy S7 Edge will cost $800. In the UK, the price is expected to be about 470 Pounds for the S7 and 540 Pounds for the S7 Edge. In India, the phone is expected to be 46000 INR and 53100 INR for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge respectively. As for the rest of Europe, the price for the S7 and the S7 Edge is 640 Euro and 730 Euro respectively.

Inference

Inferring from the price of the Galaxy S6, it would be easier to estimate the price and see how realistic the rumors of the price tag are. Generally, new flagships are very expensive because of the fact that they are the latest in the market. Rumor has it that the Samsung S7 will end up cheaper than the usual pretty penny charged for flagship models.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 had a 599 pound price tag. It is a safe bet to say that the S7 will carry a 600 pound tag and about 650 pounds for the S7 edge. This is a fair price for a phone that is expected to have an embedded SIM card, a holographic display and possibly an iris scanner. In fact, one may dare to say that it is a bargain.

The Galaxy S6 did not have the same features and the Galaxy S7 is barely that much more expensive than its predecessor. It also ranks as affordable when compared to Apples latest iPhone which only sports a fingerprint scanner among other features. Since an official announcement has not been made yet, we have to wait and see.
